Colin Kaepernick is honored while Justice Clarence Thomas is snubbed by the Smithsonian

This is hard to believe but The Smithsonian African-American Museum is honoring Colin Kaepernick, Leaving Out Justice Clarence Thomas. This is a great insult to all Americans. Our tax money is paying for this nauseating institution. This is More divisive and corrosive action by the left.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall is getting a brand new addition, ready for display.

According to museum staffers, notorious NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is just about to get honored by getting his own display in the museum. Kaepernick has become a persona non grata for many Americans, after he refused to stand during the national anthem prior to one of his games. Since then, he has been struggling with finding a team willing to sign him for the upcoming season.

As we learned, the museum is now looking for artifacts from Kaepernick’s refusal incident.

These will be showcased as part of the Black Lives Matter collection at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History.

“The National Museum of African American History and Culture has nearly 40,000 items in our collection,” said Damion Thomas, the museum’s sports curator, to USA Today. “The Colin Kaepernick collection is in line with the museum’s larger collecting efforts to document the varied areas of society that have been impacted by the Black Lives Matter movement.”

The museum received criticism before this took place, when they refused to honor Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who was merely mentioned in regards to Anita Hill, the woman pulled sexual harassment accusations on him.

This was a heavy topic to discuss, since the museum find tit appropriate to include D.C. newsman Jim Vance in its exhibitions, but not Justice Clarence Thomas.

The Smithsonian Institution defended itself on this, by saying the museum displayed only “themes, not individuals.”

But, to many, Clarence Thomas remains one of the strongest political figures from the African-American community of the day.

How is that Colin Kaepernick is a ‘theme’, and not an individual?!

This is old news but I thought there may be some people who have not heard about this and since the NFL is still trying to implode I thought it would be a good reminder as to how deep the insanity and mental disease is ingrained in the left.

It should be noted that this September, about a year since the museum opened, they finally added Justice Thomas as part of an exhibit with Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Courter.

I can't think of anything more potentially divisive in America as establishing a federally funded museum based exclusively on the theme of race, costing the US taxpayers a half a billion to construct, and millions per year to maintain.

Yes, he was finally allowed to be a "theme" but he should have been honored when the Smithsonian first opened it's doors.

The managers have to be careful who they allow to be honored in their museum because I'm sure they want to keep it as black as possible. Kapernick is half white so was he in a black and white exhibit?  I'm not trying to be sarcastic but If they want a truly representation of the "Black" experience I can't see how people with significant white blood lines can be allowed in.
