Deletion of Comment on Public Forum

On their Facebook page, LPD pointed out that Officer Fort had took part in a rescue back in 2020, I reminded them that one month before that, he was alleged to have sexually assaulted a victim of domestic violence. The victim filed a federal lawsuit and the City would up paying $55,000 in a settlement agreed to by both parties. For this reminder, my post was removed without explanation. The LPD Facebook site is a public forum and should only be deleting posts that violate Facebook standards. Mine didn't, it was stating facts about what transpired in a legal situation. Courts have regularly found that deleting comments they do not support on a website they run as a public forum is a violation of the First Amendment. Will the LPD have to defend another Federal lawsuit for their censorship action?

That facebook page is not just for feelgood stories. It's also meant to inform the public [those who pay the bills] about what is going on in the LPD. If this is how the LPD runs their operations, who knows what else they are hiding. Shame on the LPD. Just add them to the list of slithering serpents who occupy positions of authority.

After posting this 'picture' on their website, the LPD did decide to undelete my comment; however, they subsequently limited commenting on the FB post so that I can no longer comment.
