This ought to be of interest to you.. I have never seen anything like this before, but it's definitly "Aqua sports"
No, I don't recall the incident, but I am sure it made a mark! It has been my sad experience to "Be there" when a buddy was taken..it's a life changing experience, and afterward you have flashbacks for years..
Yes, I was looking especially for a "Thompson". I'm not sure if he was a mayor, but he was a VIP with the pm carferry org. Ihe listings don't cover the time period I was interested in, but thanks anyway.
I'm having trouble navigating this site... It will take a few visits and I'll be fine! I thank anyone and everyone for their interest in CARRE. I will be posting the actual lawsuit shortly. Please pay attention to the portion referring to the sour gas leak that took place over a decade ago north of Ludington. I remember hearing about the leak, but do not remember ever seeing the details. I've questioned many others about this, but nobody seems to remember seeing the details about this gas leak in the news. This heavy gas traveled for over 2 days, settling to the lowest point traveling down the Lincoln River, killing nearly 100 head of livestock. It overcame a woman driving over the Lincoln River bridge on Jabavy. It settled in the basement of a daycare center and two of the young children had to be revived and making others ill too. This is in the CARRE lawsuit before Judge Cooper. Our county commissioners, planning commissioners AND the Ludington Daily News are all aware or should have been aware of this if our group was. "Accidents can happen, but what are the odds" is the statement we hear often from Consumers Energy and opponents (most who will not live with the gas lines/wind turbines). The engineer who maintained these lines and the gas company, more than once, has warned the county and Consumers Energy at hearings/meetings not to put these turbines this close to gas lines. As you will see in the lawsuit, the odds for the failure of the safety valves was much great than a trillion to one, yet THREE safety valves FAILED. People in Mason county need to know what our elected and appointed officials are doing. Most of us cannot attend all of the meetings and rely on the local media to report what "actually" transpires at these meetings. In fact, the detailed seriousness of issues that the public should be aware of are not being reported fully. Conflict of interest is an epidemic here. Many in this county are not only "in bed" with others, it's more like an ongoing "slumber party"!!! The last time I saw anything resembling such behavior was in the southern mafia town I grew up in. It was the size of Ludington. I moved because this influence was deterring reputable companies (jobs)from investing in our community. I guess my message here is we all need to be paying attention and demanding accountability from our county government... Have a pleasant week-end and thanks again to those who support our fight we did not invite.... We all have better things to do
Thank you for your friendship. Although we see the same problems through different eyes, I think you and me have the same moral reasons. Thank you for standing up for morality. I"ll see you around my friend. We just see the same outcome through different roads.
Having a lifegaurd on duty in ludington, is like having a fair vote. Let us not worry of those things we willo never have control over. Maybe tom should be on the council. I'm not a fan of distress, or non loyalty, yet, as in reading the forums avid in the last 72 hours, I give to this. Perhaps this challenge should come to place. I know tom is a very well read, and intellectual man. we do have seperate view of life. He posed a question to me. Said in my conservative mind, that if America can not be challenged then is it america. At first, my loyalist ways took offence. I have set my mind back. I have set to think of the first tea party. I will say, that in my approach, I was wrong. Tom was right even though we dissagree on issues, he is right about the ability to speak and excercise in freedom. I always had this idea that my beliefs wer so right. Maybe it is time for change. I will never stand by anyone who speaks vile language of military. I am interested to see now if maybe my bias, or conservative way, old fashioned as I may be, should be challenged. I will support tom. why? Change saved america. Not compliance. YOu have my vote tom. Don't let us down brother.
I don't really know who you are, but I enjoy your thoughts. Florida must be an amazing warm place. democracy is never about agreement. It is about Idea's. Different Ideas. Its the only way we remain free. I look forward to more of your thoughts. Your pictures to. I don't think I will ever make it to florida. So, Your images of this place are very welcome.
Sorry Aquaman, I didn't see your comment until now. Kitten is like a lot of folks who don't really want to face the truth about those government officials and people in power who treat citizens like dirt.
Well regarding your "I've now grown accustomed to hearing what the liberals have to say, and when their backs are against the wall of wrong, they either viciously attack or lie to the high heavens to CTA." I have no idea what CTA is. As far as being vigilant about their defending their lifestyles - guilty as charged, I have always said what 2 consenting adults do in their bedroom is their business not mine. I never said I was politically conservative - I'm more of a libertarian. I believe in individuals rights and limited government interference. As far as Ludington never being about money, are you serious? money makes the world go around. Do you think you just throw a few seeds in the dirt and an abundant crop pops up the next day ready to go to market?? The way it's been told to me is first you plow the field, then you seed the field, then you water the field for months until the crop is ready (and you hope a long the way that nature doesn't give you a whammy and ruin the entire crop), and then you have to harvest it and sell it. There are probably a few more steps in there because if it was that easy to make a living from it everyone would be doing it. Oh and by the way you also need the equipment to do it and in the mean time pay your car insurance, property taxes, utilities, food and such. I'm not sure what old fashioned way of life you think I'm afraid of, but you are absolutely clueless as to what kind of a person I am. As far as sacred bounds of marriage - I'm not religious at all, I rather live honestly (not cheat, steal, lie or harm others) because it's the right thing to do, not because I'm afraid to go to hell.
Actually I visited his old "retirement" home town Byron Bay, a few weeks ago, but despite the best efforts of the Australian Taxation Office to keep him here after a recent visit because of alleged tax offences, he has gone home to California. So maybe you can say hello for me!
