New Jersey campus police struggled to arrest a 27-year-old college student for more than seven minutes, pepper spraying him in the process, in a video going viral, never once providing probable cause, despite being asked several times.

The video begins with Brookdale Community College police trying to arrest Jeffrey Michel on a bridge while another man stands nearby openly recording.

Michel remains stiff, his hands grasping to the rail, as three cops try to handcuff him. He repeatedly asks the reason for his arrest, but they remain vague, accusing him of “obstructing of identification” and “resisting arrest.”

Police Sadism in Seabrook

Recently surfaced tape shows Seabrook (New Hampshire) Police Officers haul Mike Bergeron through their facility in 2009. Early on, one officer slams compliant victim hard against the concrete wall, moments later another of the three officers spray mace at the prone victim. Officers appear to be enjoying their work throughout, and see nothing wrong with what they are doing. Even though they know they are on camera.
Now that the video has went public two of the officers have been placed on paid administrative leave while an investigation is conducted.

It seems to me that if the administration was humane and just, that this would have happened back in 2009 when this video was requested and reviewed by the police's records officer.
