Mob Takes Down Local "Helping Hand" Statue at Sheriff's Office

One protester said that the government should not honor people whose principle claim to fame is that they fought a bloody war in defense of the evil institution of imprisoning others. The second chimed in that the extended hand all too closely resembled a handgun, the instrument of choice used to take away rights of others. The third added that the officer had Caucasian features, and everyone knows that they owned slaves and have special unfair societal privileges. The fourth was incensed that the male in a position of power was an offense to the women of the area and reinforced the stereotype that being an officer was for men only.
