At the request of XLFD. I would proffer the attached as proof that a 35% ROI is a typical ROI for wind turbines.

Robert,

Please remain vigilant up their in Manistee County and make sure all of your candidates for County Commissioners are on record about how they fall on the wind debate.  The debate here was conducted in secret for a long while before the general public found out the County had laid the foundation for this wind farm.  That's why I have become and will remain adamantly opposed to the local wind farm, this is not how these long-term-repercussion decisions should be made.  In secret, without the input of those who will be affected.

I remember going to that final zoning meeting and it was slipped out that CE had signed wind tower leases with property owners in other places in Mason County specifically in the freesoil area. Noone knew because of the gag order in the contracts between CE and the landowners. That's when I posted the Watch out Mason county discussion back in 2011.

Beth Van Dyke, Head of the Mason County Growth Alliance told the LDN on August 24, 2008 that they (the MCGA) were teleconferencing with wind developers and that windpower companies were about the only ones looking to establish business in Mason County at that time.  The public started hearing about offshore wind farms at the beginning of 2010, onshore later that year.

For Pete's sakes Bernard, Obamacare was not a compromise, you know that. Even the Dems didn't want to pass it but due to that sneaky loophole, Obamacare was slipped into another bill which was then passed by the Democrats late at night. Just imagine, the largest and most over reaching law ever passed was a rider on another bill. The Democrats controlled the House and Senate when Obama was elected so the Republicans had no influence in Congress what so ever until they took the House in 2010. Again, THERE WAS NO COMPROMISING because the Dems had complete control for the first 2 years of Obama's reign. Your comments make me wonder about where you get your information.

I don't know why I am wasting my time with you..you must get YOUR facts from Fox news and Rush Limbaugh..har har. I think we are done here, don't you..OK? the next week or so will see an end to a lot of this stuff.. then what will we do for fun and games?

Your not wasting your time. Your getting educated.

VOTE NO ON PROPOSAL 3!!!  I'm tired of Obama trying to shove all of the "clean" energy down our throats.  All it is a way to suck billions of dollars out of all of us.

I agree. No is my vote.

Robert,

Medicare is social health care.

CFLD, Medicaid is social health care as is MIChild. People aren't dying in the streets or being denied treatment. Here is a novel idea to contain costs and that is what is needed. Require all major hospitals to have a clinic on site for those to lazy to seek medical treatment like the rest of us and use the ED as their PCP. Saginaw, Bay Counties a perfect example. Healthsource maintains a number of clinics throughout the mentioned counties for those without insurance or the underemployed on a sliding scale. JC, they will even pick you up and take you back home, have a social worker on site, a pharmacy (also priced on a sliding scale) but the ED users ain't waitin in no line at no clinic. Again, I can't afford Obamacare.

You are correct in stating Medicare and MIchild are social healthcare programs. You are incorrect in saying people are not dieing in the street as a result of those programs. Have you ever tried finding a provider that will except those programs?? Many will not at all. Some will only as a percentage of their total client base. This is actually the reason the emergency rooms are over used for less than true emergencies as they by law can not turn you down for a life threatening health issue. But they then have to see you to evaluate whether you do in fact have a life threatening health crisis. By then they may as well treat you to get you out of their face don't they? Thus the sub programs you mention in these larger areas. Once you then say you have to insure and additional how many million people ??? 10? 20? It becomes apparent that Obama care was written deliberately to overwhelm private insurance companies and force a one payer government healthcare system.

This particular line of thought is on the wrong thread guys... Feel free to start a separate thread dealing with OB care as I would love to ask those who think Canadian or European state programs are superior to our system, even though our system does not technically (cover) all the citizens.

I personally know too many Canadians who leave to get care here as the waiting list is too long in their country to prevent death by attrition in the case of many things like cancer. In the case of Nova Scotia the only oncology unit is in Halifax. And far out of the travel distance for many of those citizens. SAme way the waiting line for an MRI or PET scan is in most case longer than 6 mos... I personally know people who went from stage one to stage 4 in the time waiting for those tests.

Oh, new thread Captain. Sorry, will stay away.
