Mason County Coronavirus Deaths Increase Fivefold Over the Course of a Week, Media Silent

From Thursday, October 29 to Thursday, November 5th, four deaths were attributed to Covid-19 in Mason County, increasing the county's deaths from the novel coronavirus from one to five.  One wonders why this resurgence of the virus has been totally ignored by Mason County media over that period and since.

This troubling exponential rise in deaths coincides with a similar rise in cases in the county which at best has only been noted anecdotally by government officials.  The first of the four Mason County Covid-19 deaths was reported by the Manistee News Advocate but was never noted by radio, print or internet news sources in Mason County.  The rise in deaths coincides with an impressive change in local hospitalizations of Covid-19 patients in Mason County's hospital, far overshadowing the hospitalizations in the virus' first wave:

The local health department seems mired in the past, and in their Mason County profile for Covid-19 still has Mason County at zero deaths.  Other updates from November 6th recognize only four of the deaths.

One wonders why the local resurgence of the virus does not warrant more local media coverage than what they have offered as news in the last week.  You know the same media that were spreading a message of hysteria during the first seven months of the virus' landfall in America, when the death toll to Mason County was zero.

This has been going on long enough so that the medical community and Government agencies should give a more detailed picture of what is transpiring in regards to covid. First of all what are ages of the deceased? Was covid the cause of death or an underlying condition? Did the deceased have other major medical conditions? Of the rise in cases, what is the breakdown in their ages and have the cases been severe or mild? If covid cases were admitted to the hospital, what ages are involved and how severe are their condition?

Isolating and quarantining people only prolongs the staying power of covid to remain in the human population. Like the flu it must be allowed to runs it's course in order for the population to become naturally immunized. By hiding we only keep the covid just below the surface. Another problem I see is all of this sanitizing. This could cause the covid and other diseases to mutate into a strain that is immune to sanitizing.

Interesting study about the potential hazards of using hand sanitizer.  When scientists can't even figure out whether Covid-19 is controllable through hand sanitizers, one wonders why not, since they play a large part in many strategies to counter the spread.

I seen on  TV show last night about the bacteria that was found in different types of mask after wearing them. That was enough make a person think twice about if you are safer not wearing one.

Wearing a mask is not about public health or public safety; many, many years of scientific studies indicate that indiscriminately wearing masks by healthy people in social situations does nothing to prohibit spread of viruses, but only adds potential health problems to the mask wearers.
