On a lighter note, I would really like to see Payton Manning win this contest and go out a winner. Cam is a great athlete but I can not stand his arrogance. My call Denver 27 Panthers  23. Enjoy!

In the past we have had contests on the Ludington Torch to see who could best predict the game, but I haven't been motivated by the teams in this contest to draw it up, so thanks for doing so.  I also had a personal interest in the last ten Super Bowls because they had the same first name as me, "XL"

My sentimental favorite would be the Broncos and the old man at the helm (it seems like just yesterday Peyton was a rookie, but then again I can remember back when his papa Archie was leading the Saints).  But Carolina has impressed in the playoffs and the regular season, so I put forth that your 27 score for Denver is correct, but Carolina will be at 38.  But, I hope I'm wrong, I'd like to see the geezer go out with a "W" at Superbowl "L", Cam will have plenty of more chances.

Broncos  24  Panthers 13.  I see Denver's defense stepping up to give Manning the win.

You ended up being pretty close in your prediction, if the Panthers had scored another FG you would of been right on the money... good job!

Betcha shinblind wishes that Panther missed FG bounced the right way off of the uprights.  Congratulations to the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning who may have had a respectable last game if he retires.  But as Willy notes, neither of the two QBs had a very good game, in the end it was decided by the defense.

Being a Lions fan, I don't have a dog in the fight.... and with the way they play probably never will.. haha... with that said I don't have a favorite in the game. On the one hand it would be nice to see Peyton go out with a win in what will probably be his last game but on the other hand Carolina has been the best team this year and are deserving of being champion. If I was to make a prediction I think it might be slightly lower scoring then what you guys have predicted so far.. I'll say Carolina 19 and Broncos 17

Cheerleaders 52, Lions 3

Common there's got to be more than 5 of us on here? Lets get some more predictions going, game is Sunday.

I don't remember ever in my life watching a super bowl game, couldn't care less who's playing whoever they are.

Broncos 38 Panthers 35

Von miller and the Denver defense definitely earned this Superbowl win, congrats Denver!

In my purely numbskull opinion I feel that the Broncos didn't win it, but that the Panthers lost it. Take away the the 14 points Denver got on turn overs and the missed field goal by the Panthers and presto changeo we have a different outcome. Of course Denver was good enough to cause turnovers and capitalize on them but for a team as good as Carolina those turnovers should never had happened. I also thought Newton was acting sluggish throughout the game and  the fact that he didn't fall on the fumbled ball near the end of the game only caused me to question his performance and motives. Congratulations to shinblind for coming so close to the final score.

I got lucky with the score but not the outcome.  It is my best prediction for the year so far.

Last years best prediction was my call in September that the former NAPA/ community garden site would be converted into subsidized housing.

Jan.13  2015 Perky Patsy Klevorn verified my call with the newspaper headline "Great Idea".

Interesting that the developer Bob Jacobson has been working with city officials  with an upcoming end of March deadline to be voted on by the city council.   A payment in lieu of taxes is part of the agreement.  Hmmmm. As usual things are happening behind closed doors.

Also there is a April 1 deadline to get the application in with the Michigan Housing Development Authority. I bet everything happens just in the nick time with as little info released to the public as possible.

I also believe that the whole Rental Inspection Fiasco was part of the plot to lay the groundwork with the State to prove that their is inadequate local low cost housing.  Perhaps the city council has already received their orders from above and jackbooted, are marching in blind unison to see subsidised housing accomplished.

But what do I know. Sometimes the field goal attempt hits the upright and bounces the wrong way.
