This is what  groups of people in large numbers can achieve:

https://iqconnect.lmhostediq.com/iqextranet/view_newsletter.aspx?id...

Supported by a facebook page called save lake st clair with 10,832 people following showing up at meetings and adding a lot of comments to the page and the state services page. They want us to be quiet and not complain, the squeaky wheel gets the grease right? Also this is the Ludington page:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/527087387490657/

Its up to 472 people, need to get 1000 soon so they see how serious this mess and smell is to the people that have to live with it. Please share, join, and invite your friends!

Common, this issue if supported by MANY in Ludington can stop the West End project in it tracks! Humans do not need to be treated like this anywhere!

Is there any place other than Facebook to sign on to this cause?

I am not sure but am encouraged about this because it was in the Ludington paper and was started by a young woman that is passionate about the 4th ward and her city! Needs to go viral. 509 and counting! Very important since there are elections coming! Many read the LDN and are following the news reported there, lets tell the world the issues in Ludington!

TV 7&4 may have taken some interviews a few days ago, came without an appointment, and some were at work. But TV 9 & 10 are also being invited to come to Lud. and take interviews. This could be a BIG STORY! And if the culprit that is responsible for most of this is brought to justice, the Shyster may just find he's on the line for more than he bargained for, and should deserve firing from the job!!! Plus Criminal Prosecution by the State of Michigan, not Spaniola's weak office.

Thinking I need to file an anxiety/depression/ruined relationship lawsuit against the city also! This is no joke, the things they have done to my family has hurt all of us! Imagine losing everything you have worked for? Because they spent 140k elsewhere when their WWTP failed in 2008 instead of cleaning up the PM Bayou?

Strength in numbers, indeed.

I do not belong to Facebook but at least I can view the Concerned Local (Ludington) page, and it's ironic that a group touting on getting the word out, shouts out and down the very true concerned citizens that they need and will do, or have done the work for them.  Obviously they live in an Obama world.

I do believe if enough citizens SPEAK UP and SPEAK OUT, things can change.  It's just a matter of finding the right venue.  After seeing the March 21st COL meeting and how it was a bunch of blatant deaf salesman, I knew there was a better route for me.  My route didn't go any where either, but was more informative.  It also drove me to continue my fight in other means.  Some were from the Torch, in Change petition and DNR grant coordinator and Trust board info.

Never give up the fight X, JFC, Deb, Aqua, etc, etc!

Yeah they beat me up and down, called me all sorts of names, and then kicked me out and blocked me. All I was trying to do was share some of what I learned. TBH im glad because they really disappointed me with their lack of concern and lust to argue/name call, lie,  etc. If only there was a way to rally the masses there then there would be change and the city government might care about them and not always the tourist first! I don't live there but have been fighting for better for all not just my personal interests, but the reaction from that FB page really makes me rethink things.

Actually the site admin I think took a big dislike to me because she trolled my FB page and saw I support Trump, lol.

That's unfortunate and not quite fair jfc. Don't worry, that fb page could shrivel up and disappear in the near future if 4th warders get some clean air for a while, but the current bandaid won't fix the problem for long. I just hope many will wake up to all the other problems in Ludville, attend mtgs. and make comments, and get on Shay's neck about why infrastructure has been ignored so long. We can only hope and see now.

I opened the link to facebook in the discussion heading. I have seen other forums such as that and I find them difficult to follow, so I rarely participate in them. This forum [The Ludington Torch] however is set up beautifully. Each discussion is separate and has a flowing time line to follow. I noticed the woman that started the forum on Facebook mentioned that she kicked some people off the site for not doing as she instructed. So much for an open forum. That was how the SOUP forum was run. If the Admin. didn't like what was said then "off with their heads".

As always, the Ludington Torch will be the best forum for actual Concerned Citizens of Ludington to discuss their concerns with minimal concern by the rest of the forum to tone down or key up their passion about a topic.  Jfc123 was offering his own Fourth Ward experience with an apathetic city and encouraging the 'concerned citizens' to air (OK, pun intended) their grievances over bad stenches that shouldn't exist over a mile from the WWTP at these council meetings.

He tried to be Paul Revere, but the other rebels shot at him instead of the real enemy.  Don't be discouraged jfc123, as Aquaman pointed out, after the infighting dies, the group will swoon as well, only to be revived if the 'smelling salts' from the WWTP revive them.  Unfortunately, the Facebook group leaders aren't savvy in figuring out that John Shay's rhetoric isn't worth much, and their efforts will only serve to make a fecal soup.

My perspective is unless any issue directly involves anyone action will be taken such as the Facebook page started by a very young person who did not like the smell of the foul odors emitting from the COL sewage settling ponds. The odor has disapated for now. Thus all those people voicing their annoyance with the odor are content to go back to the regular programming of video games etc... The dumbing and numbing down of American citizens. Facebook is not the medium for problem solving. Nor is all those who sign this and that petition. Really super concerned citizens need to let their voices be heard by contacting government officials and agencies. Facebook is a social media. Just my 2 cents!!

If you know someone looking for odd jobs, maybe a young person to cut grass, apply grass kill, and occasionally wash a motorhome or other odd jobs please contact me we have work for you! Imagine if the bayou was like it was on june 7, 2008 how much more work I would have available!
