In this accident that happened last night in Holland Township, a young unlicensed driver turned left in front of a motorcyclist depriving them of the right of way they had.  The motorcyclist was seriously hurt, and the 18 year old driver was arrested for driving without a license, a misdemeanor.   There seems to be no indication that the young woman ever had a driver's license, but there is no indication that the young lady is to be possibly charged for the extra offense of committing a moving violation that leads to serious impairment of a body function, if the motorcyclist suffers such.  Nor was their rationale given for withholding her name at this point, even though the victim's name was disclosed.

One begins to wonder whether there would have been any repercussions if she had had an actual driver's license and did the same foolish thing.  Licensed or not, look before you creep into an intersection.

Not the actual scene, just a similar occurrence that happened elsewhere out of Michigan.
