Yes, well we have to keep talking to whoever we're standing next to in line, etc., wherever we're at. It's easy. While standing in line at the grocery store, pick up anything that's begging to be bought, and make a comment to the guy behind you, "I'd rather build our own nation than buy what's made in China." That's it. Like a good rumor, they spread fast. I also make a point to talk to the store supervisor and tell them, "I'm not buying anything made in China because our military men and women didn't die for that." If we keep at it, we'll hear "everyone" else demanding the same thing within about five years time... if we're not nuked by then. I DO see Walmart in Ludington will have products that say, "made in the USA." I'm not trying to say I was the first to start the rumor, but.. it was fun to imagine it after seeing that tag ;).
I always support local businesses. The only time I don't is when I need something that the local retailer's don't carry. The problem with China merchandise is that it is "cheap" because they have no environmental regulations to follow and labor can be had for 50 cents an hour with no benefits. But the real problem is the American public who buys all of the Chinese goods instead of American made and now one can hardly find certain products that are no longer made in America so we are forced to by Chinese products. Has anyone seen any bandages made in America lately? Try to find them. That goes for electronics, clothes, tools, ect.
Yes, and lets get the mass production out of China too, while we're at it. Our military didn't die for us to tear down our economy.
