I still marvel at the engineering excellence that went into the building of connecting two peninsulas, about a 5 mile span, across treacherous waters of the Straits of Mackinaw, that still stands today as a Torch of Excellence in mankinds' achievements.
I gotta guess no one is still impressed with the Big Mac? No comments to date, oh well. I especially liked this picture, as it depicts a three masted sailing schooner crossing underneath the majestic Mac, truly not seen very often I suppose. One similar to my great grandfathers three ships that sailed the great lakes carrying cargo in the 1800's and early 1900's, an era long forgotten now, except to those kin to their era.
