This waterfront property was scheduled to be developed big time before the depression hit and the prospective investors bailed out. Now the signs on both sides tell us it is to be built-- well in the past. Where is it, and what was scheduled to be constructed here?

The North Shore Yacht Club.  I think it stretched back even to late 2006; seeing the blueprints of this expansion had me intrigued, because it was taking place only a block away from my residence.  A project stretching a block wide between George and James Streets east-west, and Laura Street and PM Lake north-south.  A street level office was set up in the City Centre Building to promote and sell this venture, and by 2008 with all the new condos glutting the market and the waterfront, the project went quietly into obscurity.

If you could only trap time in a bottle.......seems like long ago, but I think it's about 2007 that another big condo development would come about with 150 docks and related condos. for the PM Lake area behind the carferries. More big tax breaks given, more zoning variances given, more DNR permits granted for dredging, more gradiose articles in the LDN with Mayor Henderson and others at the helm taking credit for wonderful expansions for the progress and future of Ludington...........,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lol. Sadly, it aint happening, now, nor in the near future. So, what happened, it's not 1929....... it's 2011, and this project should have already generated hundreds of thousands of dollars into the City of Ludington coffers. What say ye City of Ludington Councilpersons and Mayor? Or does the cat have your tongue?

I found an application that will 'age' photos on the internet, which helped a great deal.  With a bit of time and your skills with Photoshop, I'm sure you could age them even better, Willie.
