I was going to wait to post these pictures, but just couldn't wait longer. This is a very special 1946 Harley Knucklehead restored to perfection and beyond. She's got all the goodies like suicide shift and clutch on the left side, and a paint job that is made to look exactly like wood, not steel as the bike is made of. Courtesy of a friend of a friend that stopped by, and to think, this is not a show queen, she is actually ridden everyday by owner unnamed. A very staunch fan of Harley Davidson could only procure such a fantastic bike.
P.S. as a footnote: anyone or any company that sells fake HD items that aren't licensed legally, will be sued by HD and put out of business when they find out, and they look all the time nowadays.
I've yet to own a Harley, very expensive and maintenance related bikes. But I have plenty of friends both past and present that own them. The HD brand is now an institution and copyrighted for every trinket you can name. That's why anything HD is expensive, the copyrights protect that corporation to the fullest anywhere on earth nowadays. Only privileged mfrs. and retail outlets can sell the true HD brands, and they pay accordingly for that special brand. As such, so do us customers as well.
