I purchased a Tormach 770 several years ago and despite its limitations, and everything it CAN'T make - it does make me money. I got the 770 because I wanted the higher spindle speeds as I mainly do "little parts" - mostly in aluminum. The 1100 would definitely be a better machine in the long run if you ever want to add an ATC.
