Four Different County Newspapers, One Same Lame Story

A book published by a well-known former incumbent representative who lost in her primary by over 30 points to an unknown challenger is selling out according to the publisher of the book, and this is enough to generate a story in four newspapers serving surrounding counties. Print media is dying for many reasons, but when this happens we can see a primary reason why.

RK, this post was put forth to show the lack of variety in the reporting of county newspapers serving our general area, not to review her self-serving book (which I haven't done other than to say I was not impressed with what CNN had) that she hopes will derail Trump, but will only serve to show that the establishment queen is not only hated in Wyoming, but throughout the rest of the country.  Except by her fellow Democrats.

How fun it is to read a review of a book that the reviewers have not even read! Yet they know all about it because it is somehow discernible from the political views of the author, with whom they disagree. So name-calling and denigration is all they can do. Rather than wait their turn to read the book, they attack the author. This in a forum supposedly dedicated to the pursuit of truth. But lacking the slightest knowledge of the book's contents, which might shed some light (a torch, so to speak), on recent political history, they simply attack the messenger. It must have been difficult to believe that the book "will never be a best seller" only to wake up and find out that it became one on the first day of sales, and the presses are still running. This is a level of intellectual laziness normally ascribed to the feeble minded.

Liz Cheney is a RINO a liar and a hypocrite. Even the Democrats can't trust her because of her backstabbing nature. She has no place else to go in politics so she writes a Hillary Clinton style looser of a book that is full of brainless mumbo jumbo which is being promoted by the Leftists Press and they are even worse than she is. Anyone who believes the lies about how good her book is and how it's going to be a best seller are themselves destined to be put in a home for the feeble minded.

Haven't read it, but CNN had a sneak peek of it and from the nonsense I heard from the book and from the 'good but tragically misled' people of the network it was exactly the bitter tears that you'd expect from a former incumbent congresswoman who lost her primary by nearly 40 points to an unknown after betraying the grass roots of her own party and accepting the untruths that were front and center with the J6 Committee

Apparently you have already read the book. How were you able to get a copy before it was published?

The Honorable Liz who took office with 7 million dollars and let office with $44 million in her pocket...

Those who caught some of the excesses of the J6 Committee have a good idea of what Lizard's book is all about, and how it won't be a pursuit of the truth, just an affirmation of who pulls her strings and how far she has fallen. Grandmothers and kids are sitting in prisons awaiting justice that may never come to them nearly three years later-- and most sit for non-crimes while she blathers lies to appease her masters.  In the same Ms. Piggy vein, maybe she should have called her book "Oats and Honey" rather than "Oath and Honor".  There isn't any real market for this book, no matter how hard they try to make one.

The pervasiveness of this nonsense across newspapers serving conservative counties is what bothers me almost as much as the J6 iniquities; if this is what progressive editors think will interest their readers to plunk down their hard-earned money for a subscription, they are just fooling themselves.

Print media is not dying, it is switching to digital distribution. But millions of people still like the look and feel of print books. The success of Liz Cheney's book, Oath and Honor, is a major national story and has been covered by all the major news networks. That's why it appeared in local news outlets. They apparently thought the success of Oath and Honor was more important than car-porcupine accident stories.

FYI, Liz Cheney's new book sold out all 130,000 copies on the first day. It was published by Little, Brown, and Co. a division of the largest English language publishing company in the world. The New York Times generally does not list books that are bulk-purchased, especially by the authors. Ted Cruz's book was denied listing on the NYT bestseller list because of his bulk purchases. Actually, Donald Trump purchased tens of thousands of his own books to get on one of the best seller lists (there are several), and then gave them away during turn-down service at his hotels. He also made his executives buy at least 4,000 copies each. And in 2016 he spent $55,055 to bulk-purchase his own book, Crippled America. But this is a relatively common practice among small vanity presses, and not what major publishers do. Cheney's book is a legitimate bestseller, not a self-published vanity press book. The presses are running, and Oath and Honor will likely be a major national best-seller. You can disagree with her views, but not with her publishing success.

I really doubt that her book even sold 100 copies.  She probably bought all the books herself. What a piece of work she turned out to be. I'm surprised she didn't join the squad. Or did she.
