WOW, we're losing more local history here, sad, and kinda shocking to me anyhow. I was hoping those two buildings were going to be saved for future generations too.

Knowing the management of Lake Michigan Carferry, these demolition/construction projects are likely being funded and done at this time with leftover credits from the $9.5 million the federal and state monies assigned for repairing the docks.
