Come now, you two.  It's not the sandy beaches, the aesthetic lighthouse, or the crisp Lake Michigan waters that people go to Stearn's Park for.  It's to be harassed by quasi-police on golf carts checking out whether that bottle you are holding is plastic or not.  LOL.

Word on the streets is that the younger set is going out to the LSP beaches (it was hopping out there today!) more this year or Buttersville.  The beach rangers leave many with the impression that they are enforcers of the new goofy laws our city smarties are passing.  The many youths ticketed this last weekend for jumping off the breakwall supports that fact.  Were they warned first, and did they continue doing their crime?  Probably not.

I know a few people who haven't been impressed with the City's handling of beach safety over the last couple of years, and that doesn't include XLFD or Aquaman.

Asleep at the wheel? Hard to tell, today there were only a hand full of people at the beach, and the Ranger wasn't exactly needed, nor taking patrol too seriously. Hard job, but someone has to do it...........lol.
