Happened to me once too about 10 years ago. Was driving a junk loaner car while mine was in the body shop. Come to find out, the blue bright lite on the dash was burned out. So, I didn't realize the brights were on that first day/nite I operated that car. LPD whipped out of cemetary floored, and I stopped of course. He was asking if I stole the car at first, cause I had no idea where the paperwork was. Finally, after a 20 minute stop, he gave me a warning too, nice guy. But his response to this scared the ever living out of me, cause I wasn't doing anything traffic-wise wrong.

It's never happened to me while I was driving (knock on wood), but I was a passenger riding in twilight when this happened because the driver I was with had not dimmed his brights quick enough when the officer passed.  The way the MSP officer whipped around and caught up to us made us both wonder what was going on, but the driver just got a warning from the officer about dimming his brights quicker.

This same scenario happened to me only the officer stopped me for not wearing a seat belt. I couldn't believe how he made the u-turn and ran me down so quickly. I plead not guilty and won because the officer didn't show up for court.
