After passing an unfamiliar LPD officer patrolling and saying "Hi" nicely and being just glared at on Thursday (8:30 PM), I saw what made him so grumpy further on, his inability to park: his car was parallel parked in Stearn's angle parking spaces, thereby taking three spots.
My bicycling partner and I thought of coming back with our cars and angle parking legally on both sides so that he was blocked in, but common sense prevailed. Grumpy Gus would undoubtedly take his frustrations on our vehicles because he is obviously not following the laws he is put there to enforce.

Feel free to post any of those videos here Mr. Streeter. Stearn's Park has went from a place to go and have fun, to a place where our local police run wild with the law and power trips
I went to the beach with my daughter late on Macker Sunday, when they were tearing down the courts, and we went by the waterfront to sit and enjoy the lake. In the short time we were there, the beach patrol vehicle zoomed on behind us and between the picturesque life rings on a stick a couple of times. It was most annoying to have our experience spoiled by the intrusions, the noise this thing puts out, and the unnatural tracks it leaves behind in its wake.
I wonder why the police spend so much time at the beach. Girl watching maybe?
These guys gave out over 50 parking violations over Macker weekend. Two tiers of laws, one for us, and none for them.
You're funny! But the parking infraction isn't.
