What happens when a cop and a man who knows hits rights cross paths? It resembles a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum. Except that this "3 year old" is 40...

The cop was not following procedure. He should have kept his eyes on the subject as the driver fished thru the glove box. There could have been a weapon in it. I sure wouldn't be forcing a confrontation with the police if it wasn't necessary and the driver is lucky he had a camera.  The cop should read up on the laws and he should have shown more restraint. This is just another reason why a camera should be present when the police and citizens interact.

This is a prime example of why cops don't want any cameras on them. This particular incident reminds me of the Petoskey Batman's arrest for obstructing an officer in his duty. It's sad to see the stress syndrome of this cop go off the cliff. He definitely needs some more psychological training, and a vacation. Did his superior, the Major, do anything about this I wonder? Most superiors just sweep the incident away, and do nothing, which compounds the problem at a later date with brutality and abuses seeming acceptable.

wow the cop was a bully to that couple, for doing nothing, then throw something at him cause the cop wanted to pick the fight 1st to have a reason to take them to jail n then if anything would of happen that cop would of twisted it around n said them people started it 1st,

Nebraska's version of Chief Barnett?  Man comes over to vehicle, asks for something he is not legally entitled to, interrogates the driver, threatens the two people inside with unlawful imprisonment, throws something into the car in the direction of its occupants, starts screaming obscenities at the driver-- all while an officer of the law looks on, who fortunately de-escalates the situation by removing the man away from the vehicle.

The man who did all these questionable acts also wore the uniform of a police officer; he is one who needs either a new job, or maybe some desk duty.   Fortunately, for himself he had a reasonable back-up around.  All too often, the back-ups are more permissive of their fellow officers.

BTW, here is Nebraska's version of obstructing a police officer, pretty much like Michigan's:  http://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=28-906
