From what I understand, "The Candidate" must be low-key, yielding to other special interests and honchos that "Run Things" in the background, and say must be "calm and reassuring" types, not controversial and realistic about today's state of affairs. Jeb Bush fits that profile and so does Romney, both loaded with money, and "no brains nor ideas for the future" imho. Is that the best we can produce for the USA nowadays?

You hear Trump being compared to Hitler, Stalin, etc. by the Pregressives  and the RINOs for his stance on Muslim immigration, and now he's compared to the ultimate evil icon of the universe, Darth Vader.  But it works, and whoever made the video caught classic Trump campaign sound bites.

A lot of Trump's appeal is his cult of personality and his ability to say things that few politicians would dare say without missing a beat.  I would support him if he got the Republican nomination and even if he went independent because he got the shaft from the 'establishment' Republicans and they nominate the compromise candidates they've been electing since the first Bush.

Well stated Aquaman. I would like to see a Trump/Cruz or a Cruz/Trump team. We need tough conservative measures to neutralize the progressives and liberals but unfortunately this Country is full of stupid people who refuse to inform themselves about the true state of America and that is the saddest part of all of this.

You can love or hate the Donald, but one thing is this, you can't argue with his success, period. There was talk now on Rush's show today that after contacting many elitists in the GOP, that the establishment GOP will not permit nor endorse Trump if he is the winner of the primaries. How STUPID can they be? They are already talking about trotting out Romney and Ryan again if the nominee is Trump, known losers of the GOP from 2012. How STUPID is that? People intentionally stayed home in protest and didn't vote for Romney, because they didn't like him. It appears that the GOP wants to lose another very important Presidential election at this stage. Even talk of rejecting Trump at the National GOP convention, and making a war of it there. And why? Because Trump doesn't take orders from anyone, not even the GOP honchos that have the entire country in this nightmare today to begin with. They wanted Trump to release his financials, pledge to run in the GOP only, and to state his platform to the GOP all in writing. He has obeyed these requests emphatically, and yet this attitude and backroom statements? The public's votes don't count now anymore? It would appear that the public can't get what or whom they want in the GOP race. And the Democrats are only going to feed on this spilled blood like sharks and re-energize themselves for next year. Sad state of GOP affairs is all I say, and maybe IT IS time for a strong Third Party to cancel out the losers of both the Dems & RINO's that are ruining the country so badly these days.
