Eastpointe City Council Regular Meeting
Minutes after Eastpointe MI Mayor Owens speaks an invocation and leads the council with the pledge, she goes ballistic on three citizens commenting at the 9-7-22 meeting, all of which leads to an impromptu adjournment of the meeting as councilors walk out. The action starts shortly after four minutes in and looks more clownish than current Scottville meetings.

I was down in Eastpointe over the weekend and actually saw the latest news of this on the local news station. A federal was filed which included a call for an injunction. Not surprisingly in this case, it was granted: "A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to the City of Eastpointe and Mayor Owens Wednesday, ordering that residents not be blocked from praising or criticizing public officials during public comment."
