Great observations and post Willy. I see where some posts after the video were saying Herman was too cocky, arrogant, and not following police instructions. Also that he has some previous arrest. That, to most police officers, means they can go ape on that person, irregardless of the current situation. The police kicked the situation up a large notch by escalating the event with threats, excessive power abuse, overreacting with a taser, and the lack of arraignment/bond issues. Then we have a lack of police dash cam, always a strong indicator that the police were more at fault, and realized it, and want their actions kept as their own story, not the truth. Lesson to learn? Don't put hazard flashers on when you have car trouble, just be a nuisance to the rest of the public getting off the freeway. Also, don't ask for any police ID's, as they are above the law, and can refuse to and use it as a excuse to tase and kick your butt. Another huge lawsuit for the State of Indiana awaits in the wings, as well it should. Restraint, courtesy, common sense, all that today seems to have gone totally out the window with all too many officers.

The problem is the police training. This is how the are taught to respond. No common sense. Good for her. I'm glad she recorded this situation because her husband would be in a world of sh_t if she had not. She has proof of police abuse. This happens all to often and makes all police look bad even the good police who are trying to do their jobs in a respectful manner. As I said before, the only way this will stop is when police carry body cameras and the retraining of officers on how to handle citizens in a common sense way. I love her husbands statement about him being black. If her husband wanted to he could have kicked their butts if he was really a criminal.
