Most people don't realize that when the Quran is referenced it represents that which originated directly from Muhammad while Jusus played no part in  compiling the Bible.

Despite the sins of some of its most notable proponents, Christianity is a religion where the figurehead of that religion is one who did peaceful acts and promoted peace and assisting the less fortunate.  Such teachings are not part of Islam, whose main prophet was one who was warlike, intolerant, and otherwise 'sinful' (see this article about the real Muhammed).
