Glancy is an appointed attorney, works for the State of Michigan/Mason County. That in itself is damning for ANY DEFENDANT! Add to that the Gestapo-type tactics of LE in Mason County, there's your answer to this verdict, imho. Does anyone else want to respectfully disagree, with evidence/common sense to the contrary, thanks.

That's another thing Glancy should have taken care of. He should have insisted that those officers leave the court room or sit in the rear row.

People may scoff at mention of such intimidation tactics, but I personally saw Detective Kenney move 6-8 people out of the front row next to the jury on the day of closing arguments just so he and other officials could sit there.  Sheriff Cole and LPD Chief Barnett were there almost everyday in full uniform as if they don't have a regular job (along with the presence of 2-3 detectives, at least 2 MCSO acting as security/bailiffs in the courtroom, 4-6 LEOs hanging around in the corridor), yet neither was on the witness list or called to testify.

Why are we paying these guys about $50 an hour each in wages and benefits to do this if not for some subtle bit of intimidation?   Consider, if you were Juror #7 of a jury that acquitted Phillips, wouldn't you be more worried of your own well-being the next time you 'made contact with' one of those deputies you seen for three weeks than if you convicted him?  And vice versa.

"Yeah, officer, I may have been a little over the speed limit, but did I ever tell you that I was instrumental in converting several other jurors into getting a guilty verdict for Sean."

Methinks that Jury also got very intimidated with most of the LPD/MCSO in the front row staring at them, and giving them dirty looks, if they decide against LE. ALL those LE officials should have been forbidden from the courtroom imho. Jurors had to feel like if they found him innocent or a mistrial, they would also be targeted into the future for rigged criminal behavior, I know I would.
