Obama... Commander and TV Star
Originally he was the Commander and Chief but apparently he likes being
the Commander and TV Star as he likes to be in front of the cameras. No
president has appeared on TV more then this one. He is set to appear on
the Daily Show soon along with a taped appearance on Discovery Channel's
Mythbusters TV show. The Mythbusters appearance I don't mind so much as
he is doing an appearance to help promote science to the youth of
America. The appearances on The Daily Show, The Tonight Show and The
View I could of done without as there was really no reason for him to
appear on any of those those shows. Basically I don't care all that much if this president or any president is making an appearance on a show that is for educational purposes or purposes other then anything political. But if any president is appearing on a show and they start talking about politics or their agendas then thats exactly what I don't want to see. If they want to talk about that stuff they pay the networks money out of their own pockets and jabber about it all they want then.
Hopefully he remembers to get back to running the country then worrying about his budding TV career.

Hmmm, sorry to see this thread slipped by us Dave, with no replies. So here it goes, I think the Prez. has enough on his plate in very serious events that require his immediate and constant attention to get fixed. Sure, he has to support his party for the upcoming elections. But, to spend the inordinate amount of time he does on TV and traveling, golf, bb, vacationing, partying, and many other non-work activities at this critical stage in our country's history, well, it seems to bespeak of his immaturity, and ducking/postponing the tasks required of the job. If he wants to practice for his future job of movie star or celebrity, fine, but do it after your term as our commander and chief, not now.
