This only keeps a division between races. If there is a discrepancy in existing museums regarding the lack of black exhibits, then more black presence should be called for but to have separate museums is only stirring the pot. If the museum was dedicated to the history of slavery or black leaders or scientist I could understand that but if it is solely dedicated to a single race of people I'm not for it. What if Bush had dedicated a white history museum, would we have seen an outcry. This is no different.
So true, and if this correct, then why indeed don't we also have, in addition to a black history month, February, an Asian, Latino, Native American, and White month observed? Not many seem to want to touch the subject, but it has been on my mind ever since they established this month as so years ago. Strange for sure.
