As you've probably heard by now the first case of Ebola in the U.S. has been identified in Texas. The patient is a  person traveling from Liberia.

Mr. Smith should listen to his own words. There is indeed an outbreak of Ebola in the U.S. An explanation of "outbreak" is as follows, "Outbreak is a term used in epidemiology to describe an occurrence of disease greater than would otherwise be expected at a particular time and place. It may affect a small and localized group or impact upon thousands of people across an entire continent. Two linked cases of a rare infectious disease may be sufficient to constitute an outbreak. Outbreaks may also refer to epidemics, which affect a region in a country or a group of countries, or pandemics, which describe global disease outbreaks."

To say we have nothing to worry about is condescending. A disease that has a  70% mortality rate in the countries from which it originated and which has found it's way to the U.S. is indeed something to worry about and because we are doing nothing to stop future invasions of individuals who may be infected with Ebola we damn sure had better be worried. We have been lucky so far. I wonder if Smith is reporting on information supplied by a pathological lying Government. Mr. Smith has just put his hat into the ring of those individuals whose opinions we must take with a grain of salt. Common sense tells us a different story than what we hear on the news.
