I swear, they say Bush had trouble with the English language which maybe he did get a bit creative with certain words.... but Democrats seem to have some issues with trying to get the message they want out these days. A few days ago ole Harry Reid seemed to suggest that 36,000 not working was a good thing. Today, ole Nancy says that "they have to pass the health care bill so that you can find out whats in it". If that's the case, well, I think I would be able to understand why so many people don't want it to pass. Anywho, here's a portion of her speech today that includes the silly comment.
This comes from Speaker Pelosi's speech today before the Legislative Conference for National Association of Counties:
“You’ve
heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the
bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is
legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but
about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that
you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention,
prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be
very, very exciting.
“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."
