McDonald's Bakery since 1898 now sold, reopens May 15th

Bought out by Cops & Doughnuts, reopens mid-May, to be historic bakery. Can't believe the McDonald's sold this after four generations of ownership. Will they continue to operate this now, or are they out too? Anyone have inside info. on reason for sale? Thanks.
