It's something I never really thought of. maybe even a bit far out for the average person to see as possible but it does make sense, to me at least.
It's not about what you think, or at least how/why you have heard it before, so try to read all the way to the end, and if you can't then start in the middle.

I think it tries to simplify things too much and is not all that well research-based. Too conspiratorial, and too general-- the author floats from one point to the next without proving the prior. Compelling, but somewhat theatrical and theoretical.
This outlook would speak precisely to the points some on here like Max explain that our fathers deliberately designed the republic to be a very limited government, so as to not allow for the types of flagrant power grabs that the( Carbon crisis ) or the (health care crisis) could be the cover for or excuse to allow more regulation of the population by the central government .
I do not an almost Al gore like visualization the author is trying to bring to this outlook without really supporting in in fact as XLFD notes.
Rahm Emanuel made it a point of stating when he made his solution of buying the auto manufactures that it would be"a shame to waste a perfectly good crisis" in his intent to buy and then control the auto as well as the financial institutions.
