Today the University of Michigan won in a triple overtime of 67-65, quite the scoring effort by Illinois and Michigan in this strong contest of pride. Look at those Spartans too this year, they also won today and I think they are 9-1 now, probably one of the best records ever for this team. GO Michigan football, we finally look pretty good this year, and may have a bowl to play later.

Nice comeback by the Michigan teams this week after a rather embarrassing week by pretty much every college team last week. Was quite the game to go to yesterday in the Big House... one of my co-workers went and posted on his Facebook page after that it was the best game he'd ever been too.

their bowl elagible now and few of the ninety nine bowl games would pass up as big a draw as michigan. state has no excuse to finish with more than 1 loss. michigan mac football is in a sorry state with the three michigan teams at 3-6 3-7 and 1-8. GVSU is chuggin along at 9-1 with there only loss aginst michigan tech.

Yesterday another whopping big score of 103 pts. Wisconsin 83, Indiana 20. WOW!

another week where michigan lost and michigan state won. too many of these in recent years. verily i had high hopes of michigan handling the badgers at the big house but the magic is gone and replaced with kryptonite on their program.

michigan state beat wisconsin who beat ohio state. yet if they all finish with only 1 big ten loss this is very possible msu will almost certainly be shut out from the roses as the head to head is a lesser tiebreaker than the national bcs rankings. thats bs even if i dont like msu most of the time.

Michigan State clinched the Legends division of the Big Ten with a 55-3 victory over Indiana, coupled with a Michigan trouncing of Nebraska in a 45-17 contest.  One would have thought that since Nebraska beat MSU with ease, and MSU beat UM decisively, that Nebraska would prevail-- but great job by both teams.

It was also revealed today that Victoria's Secret recently came out with a female MSU shirt that had the UM fight song out on its website, until it was caught by fans, and then took off the market.  Even though it was a mistake, I think there would be a good market for the shirt since MSU has had UM's number over the last 4 seasons on the gridiron, and perhaps has earned the right to display it.

Central Michigan was successful in its early bowl, but the Big Ten looks to have some tough times ahead of them in the bowls.  Their best team, Ohio State (boo, hiss) is ineligible due to some relatively minor NCAA violations by previous OSU teams.  I actually feel a little sorry for OSU for being one of two undefeated teams in the NCAA, but they should look on the bright side, they can get an early jump on other bowl teams for putting energy towards recruiting.

Michigan State plays late on Saturday (10:15 PM) against TCU, Minnesota leads off for the Big 10 tonight against Texas Tech.  Both have .500 win-loss.  Northwestern, Michigan, Purdue, and Nebraska kick off at noon or 1PM on New Year's Day all versus deep south teams.  Wisconsin rounds it off in the Rose Bowl at 5 PM that day.
