Nearly pure gold signs can't point you in the wrong direction. Special thanks to Tye Sign's and the expedient policies of the DDA.

Why is Tykoski a member of the sign sub committee if he also is a sign contractor. Another conflict of interest. If they needed him as an advisor I could undestand that but not as a committee member who has influence over the signage process.
The new logo of the 'golden' sun over golden waters translates better on solid gold signs. Why have those cheap pennants that other cities with free-spending DDAs have?
I thought the "on the shores of Lk. Michigan" with a pic. of the lighthouse was our logo. I still don't understand what this is, or what the explanation is in the ppp, or how it's an improvement over what we had. Seems like more waste in time and money is all I think.
I would guess the lower wavy line is the Lake Michigan Horizon, the big circle in the back is the sun, and the smaller circle with the radiating spikes is a missile coming over the water towards you.
But the only two people I know who could answer your question is Councilor-elect Tykoski and Marilyn Cunic who presented the designs for the new signs at a DDA meeting, as reproduced here.
I've been taking notice of late that there is a new theme/avatar/logo associated with the COL. Above the pointy sign exists a sign that looks like a sunset/eye/water/crown or some new logo I don't understand. Anyone else know what exactly it is and what it stands for? At first I thought it was a sunset, buy there is alot more to it than that if you focus......strange.
