On Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, Grand Valley State University's student senate voted 21-10 to ditch the pledge of allegiance at the beginning of their meetings citing the wording is non-inclusive to international students and non-Christian students. What do you think?

Amen! Willy, true insight. A pampered youth so far removed from oppression and hardship in reestablishing a nation doesn't have the respect to even consider what our forefathers struggled through and fought for even just 150 to 200 plus years ago. Thanks X for the fairh-restoring update.
I am certainly glad there was push back from others concerned with how leftists students and faculty are trying to bury any sign of patriotism. Nothing foreshadows a failing society better than the bad decisions made by pampered students who have no concept of how and why they are free to implement ideals contrary to a free society. If they would only have listened to the pledge and took away from it the true meaning of what liberty and justice for all really means.
GVSU Student Senate President restores the pledge after facing major backlash. Threats of pulled donations and decreased student enrollment by alumni and those interested in GVSU seems to have trumped the oppression and inclusivity concerns.
If the student senate votes to do this once again in the future, the president will once again invoke his executive power to include it. That sounds a lot like oppression, pledge-haters-on-the-student-senate, maybe you should resign to protest this imperialistic move or start impeachment proceedings.

I just noticed the student senate meeting was held in the Pere Marqutte River Room. Can the liberals say Religious conflict? Also the leader of the University needs to grow a backbone. That is, if her leftist ideals have not already pushed it out of joint.
The student senate has at least 21 ignorant and naive members. If I were a parent of one of these leftists whiners I would cut off funding to them ASAP. Let them fend for themselves. What idiocy.
At least there are still some students who have some common sense. At least 10 of them. Just think the 21 brats may be future leaders. Can anyone say Oh sh_t.
