The elitist Brainiacs of the Republican Party have given us lackluster efforts from John McCain and Mitt Romney in the last two turns.  I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump, but at least he is not only adding some needed unbound energy to the discussions, but also giving that energy, gravitas, and fight to the rest of the field that scrum with him.  Whoever becomes the Republican standard bearer, those traits may be needed when the Democrat contender is propped up by most of the media.
