Anyone else get invited to the inauguration of Rick Snyder?
Just got an invitation in the mail a few minutes ago to attend the inauguration on January 1st. I think anyone can attend but not everyone will get the invites. I donated a small amount to his campaign... the first time I have ever donated to any candidate... a whopping $10 (got a bumper sticker too!) so apparently as a reward for that donation I got a nice invitation. If I get a chance too, I will scan the invite so you can all see what it looks like.
Hopefully Snyder is able to do what he has said he is going to do. So far he's gotten off to a respectable start from what i've seen. He's stuck with his pledge to keep things bipartisan too. Read a few days ago that he has a aggressive plan to really get things going in his first 6 months. Obama promised a lot early in his presidency and hasn't lived up to as many of the promises as he had hoped, Gitmo being a prime example.

I went to his local town hall at the Ramada, and got on his electronic mailing list, but I didn't get an invite or a bumper sticker. Must have been the donation that got you there.
Hope you go and represent the Ludington Torch in the best manner possible. Not like the time you went to Jenny's inaugural and came home with a carload of beer cans and a pending paternity suit.

OMG Dave, I didn't know about that last Inaugural you attended, lol, rofl. Anyhew, kidding aside, I hope you have the time and weather to travel to Snyder's, and it's nice to know that the new Governor thinks so much of each of his supporters, esp. the small guys that donate from the heart. Maybe this guy is for real this time, I sure hope so. Michigan is in a tail spin that looks impossible to come back from. New ideas and new blood must make some progress, we couldn't do any worse than we have the last 8 years. Looking forward to that attachment of the RSVP. I'd have that framed and keep it, might be valuable someday in the future, and surely a remembrance for life anyhow. Don't forget your camera for pics. later on our photo gallery.

Not sure if I will go or not... probably depend on what the weather is suppose to be on the first. I do have the day off which is a bit of a surprise so maybe I will make it down there. Maybe I can see if Rick can hook me up with a sweet job... hopefully one that last more then 4 years.. lol
