Is it just me or did the Cold news make half an effort to copy the MCP news on some of the local news this week?

While they did put on front page the precious Mayor was found guilty of drunk driving, the Cold news also went extensively into how Mayor was railroaded since he suffers from COPD which when bloodwork is done the medications mimic alcohol in the system.  That is NOT true. My hubby who was on all COPD meds the last years of his life and never once did his blood work show anything that might indicate alcohol. 9&10 news just glossed over that fact as well.

Then going on, where were the coldnews reports on all the council meetings this week? I missed them. Thankfully for once there was an objective report on Ludington council meeting in MCP.

I don't have time to seek links, so if someone would start a new topic with these links, I would appreciate it.

So my question is what is really going on with these issues of great local concern. Should Alaway of MCP consider consulting an attorney with the types of negative comments by Mayor Joe and cold news helping his cause?

What is really going on around here?

Dave the movie historian of our group is actually right on target with that observation, that last picture being of the late, great Bobcat Goldthwaite as Shakes the Clown (1991).  This amusing B-movie featured not only Bobcat, but such comedic legends as Adam Sandler and Robin Williams (as clown and mime respectively, but not respectfully).   Warning, it does portray clowns in a bad light; here's a trailer, but not the type where clowns live in:

X, I'm glad you explained what this video is about because I thought it was a recording of a City Council meeting.

LOL.  When seen in the full length version without the voiceover, you would probably not notice much difference between the two at all.  Shay-kes the Clown?!

I agree with you. I respect Alway for standing up for what is right but in this case he seems to have taken Baxter's plight personally. The fact that he is requesting readers to contact City Hall and voice their opposition to Baxter is going to far in my opinion. Let the people draw their own conclusions from the facts presented. As far as editorials go, every newspaper editorializes issues pertinent to what is going on locally and beyond. Alway was correct to voice his news services opinion that Baxter should step down but from what I have been reading it does appears that Alway is to close to this story.

Lisa thank you for your post and confirming that people need to talk with their pharmacist to be sure their medications don't clash.
