The first issue of Colon Comix is here if you missed it, dealing with a topic which turned out to be handled almost identically by our City of Ludington in a 'similar' case, which the Ludington Torch questioned earnestly:  investigating-the-investigation-lingyan-zou-2012-marina-death

The second installation of Colon Comix deals with the installation of recording cameras in the bathrooms of C'o'L'on.  This also resembes a similar incident in Ludington reported on here:  ludington-city-government-they-see-you-poo-in-public.

Just so the powers that be do not get too excited over things, here is a disclaimer:

DISCLAIMER: Although the two comments said at the public meeting is what exactly was said in Ludington's meeting too, the C' o' L'on in absolutely no way mirrors the "City of Ludington" or do the comix presume to factually portray policy and actions of any public body other than the C' o' L'on. Besides incredible resemblances to Ludington's own Tom Rotta, City Manager John Shay, Mayor John Henderson, Board member Wallace Cain, Councilor Kaye Holman, Councilor Gary Castonia, City Attorney Dick Wilson, City Attorney George Saylor, in name and actual appearance, the characters in these comix do not depict those actual people, their thoughts, their motivations, or their actions.

Hilarious. Will we be seeing this new comic strip in the LDN?  I'm sure they will appreciate the humor. May I suggest using different colored or larger print. Some of the lines are hard to read because they blend into the background.

I see the problem with the hardness to read; when I made the panels originally I hadn't noticed the problem that much, but on transference, some of it is very tough.  I will remedy that when Colon Comix has its third trial, but in a way it does keep the amateurish look to the whole effort I strive to maintain.

One gag I wasn't able to use:  "Those people who want cameras in the restrooms, should have their head examined."

The comic strip is funny, but then again its right on for what's happening in your area.  I have't been able to look in as often as I can but every time I do its either this or that being done wrong by the city and you have total silence from the hall.  The council mayor and CM just continually circle their wagons around and around kind of like my computer when its getting unresponsive, which can be even more annoying than the wife being that way, Har, Har, Har.

But its happening in my area too, southeastern Michigan and Ohio.  You've heard about Detroit and Wayne County, we have our own doozies here across the line.  Check out some of our local blogs if you have an interest, our newspapers just a little better than the Daily Gnus.  But my source for interesting news around west Michigan is right here flaming at the LT.  Gotta wonder when someones gonna mess with those cameras from either side.
