I heard on the radio tonight that a group of Wisconsin State representatives from the Democrat Party had piled into a bus and took off for Illinois so that there would be no quarum for dealing with the financial bill that would have helped solve Wisconsin's growing debt. Unfortunately for them some Tea Party supporters followed the bus to a hotel and let the reps. Know they were on to their scheme. The last I heard the bus load of Reps. was trying to sneak back into Wisconsin.

SAY WHAT?????

This is too funny.

Rascals on the Lam

Masonco, I owe you a Coke.

What those dummy Dems didn't realize is two-fold: 1) the new governor promised at least 6,000 statewide permanent layoffs if the bill does not pass, 2) these Dems. subject themselves to recall by voters in their district due to abandoning their jobs/duties. If the bill does indeed pass, all affected employees statewide still can have union representation and are guaranteed no layoffs. When the going gets tough, and decisions of urgency for a savings of over $300Million over the next two years is calculated, the Dems. run and hide. If only one Dem. stays next time around, the bill can be heard and debated, only 17 votes will pass the bill out of 33 senators total, the Reps. have 19 majority senators. Looks like the crack in the Dems. foundation is here in Wisconsin.
Again...did you notice they ran to Chicago? Wonder why?
I had heard about the lawmakers bowing out on the vote so it could not take place. I hadn't heard about the tea partiers tailing them that's tooooo funny!!!

Them silly teachers and other union members are going to have some explaining to do when they go back to work. For some of them, its going to be hard to say they were sick when they were seen on the TV down at the capital. Part of me would like the WI gov to pull a Reagan and fire anyone not back at their job within the next day or 2... can't say though that I would see that ever happening.

Its kind of sad though that the people protesting don't understand how good they have it. They have gotten a pretty sweet deal up til now.. of course I suppose they do know that. Now that they been asked to do their part to, they don't want to. And of course they will wonder why their isn't any money or any jobs when everything goes to pot even further then what it has in recent times.

Its kind of funny how not more then 6 weeks ago after the tragedy in Arizona, the more liberal minded folks were talking about how to be nicer to each other, specially in regards to politics. Apparently that is completely out the window now. Check these pics out:

And of course no good protest is not going to have a Bush reference so here ya go....

So yeah, apparently the more liberal types have completely forgotten about the whole being nice to each other thing. Karma is a funny thing, its gonna come and nip'em on the butt when they least expect it.

And I heard that Obama is encouraging the antics of the protesters. Wonder if that is true?

When they do the major job cuts, then maybe some people will listen? NAH. The don't have ears to hear.

Yes, it's been reported that the Obama/DNC is using their subsidiary groups to spearhead alot of those protests. As as Dave so accurately gave proof of, their fangs are clearly present and dangerously sticking out for all to see. Too bad many don't realize the push is against the State Unions of the public sector  State employees, not all unions in general of the state used in the private sector. We have the same serious problem in Michigan, and need to get the same actions going here for waste that doesn't need to exist and grow to enormous proportions.

Governor Snyder needs to do the same things here as they are doing across the pond.

It doesn’t matter that Wisconsin public union employees have benefits the taxpayers can only dream of, or that Governor Walker is asking them to kick in a puny contribution to defray the cost of those lavish benefits.  If the rhetoric of socialism were taken seriously, the government would be taking money away from these union protesters and re-distributing it to taxpayers, whose average compensation and benefits are worth much less.  Socialist politicians and union bosses would lead modest, Spartan lives.  But that’s not what socialism means in practice.  It means government seizing the wealth of private citizens, and paying it to well-organized groups with political clout for sale.  It means public hiring binges while the private sector suffers from double-digit unemployment.

Looks like the Indiana Dems. just copied the Wis. group, and now rumor has it that the same will follow in other close states like Illinois and Ohio coming soon. News has it that Walker will fire about 1500 people in Wis. this Friday if the Dems. don't show back up, and that will be followed again over a period of time until at least 6,000 people are fired or laid off. Methinks this "immature childish stunt" is going to bite them D's on the backside pretty quick here, and I hope the Governor stands his ground and does what he's promised for all. Talk is cheap, action is carrying a big stick and knowing when and how to use it.
