except my dogs and kid.
Sorry to here that, hopefully your day gets better.
I've felt that way and lots lately. Must be catching.

Come down to Ludington tomorrow, and try to get from one place to another in the height of Macker, the beginning of the PALM bicycle ride (with 700 bicycle riders and their support teams converging on LHS in the afternoon), plus the regular load of summer tourists that congregate in this neighborhood.

Just in Ludington, we could supply power to the whole county with all the road rage generated tomorrow, I bet, LOL.

Just came home tonight and the Macker is gearing way down to a stop, thank you, and maybe traffic, esp. foot traffic, can resume some normality for a little while before the 4th. As for being grouchy, I just said the other day to a clerk, how come everytime I have to buy something, I get disgusted with the price and service? I must have asked about a dozen other people this past weekend if it's just me, or what? And all replied, no, we all feel the same way day to day nowadays. Appears to me some price controls on our everyday needs is well overdue, and our Leader is casually asleep on this matter too, as per the usual. I don't see how our leaders reflect on the everyday man in the street anymore at all, it's just the way things are supposed to be, or are they?
aquaman...look at how they calculate COLA...Food, gas, utilities do not count towards inflation if I understand correctly.
Exactly Masonco, and a lot more in fact. But, that's just speculation under the present administration, or is it? COLA these days is just a faint shadow of it's original intent, and so it goes?

I need to correct here. Food, gas, utilities never were in the COLA calculation if I understand correctly. It has something to do with "durable goods" and middle class were the ones who BOUGHT the cars, boats, etc etc. Now they don't so inflation is considered decreased which means decreased income for those on social security. (Remember...Medicare premiums and copays went up). Plus added costs for consumable goods (which do not count towards COLA). Finally pensions, stocks, IRA's have decreased due to decrease in value. Then there are those of us who lost jobs in their 50's who are now in 60's and used much of their life savings to pay for private health care insurance and living expense.

I need insurance. I was quoted 185/mo for just me and the kid w/ a 500 deductible.(2500 but for two of us it goes down). But doesn't it stop when ya get older and how would a person ever get there money back out of it? Can someone please explain a bit about how some of it works when a person hits medicare age.
