I am glad we have some dissenting opinion here. It makes it so helpful to have to create responses to an opposing point of view or claim. There is no better way than to debate a topic and strengthen ones viewpoint and arguments regarding a claim than to put it down in text while countering anothers claims. It is so easy to get lackadaisical in ones arguments that it is some good brain building power happening when creating responses. Rom may think s/he is really sticking it to X, but ya know what, s/he is actually validating everything I believe X is working towards, that being in my opinion requiring honesty, integrity, transparency and ethical behavior from the local leaders.

 

I read where the way to prevent Alzheimer's and old age related brain deterioration issues is to keep the brain working, whether by taking a hobby class at a college or some other activity requiring thought and processing to take place on a rather frequent basis.

 

This site has had people at the now hidden LT site say how the Torch bans opposing viewpoints. I wonder if the people(person?) who is always ranting such things realizes how false that statement is?

I'ts one thing to have a differing point of view but it's another thing to ridicule and taunt another person. That's what Rom does. I couldn't care less what that turd thinks. If and when it decides to act in a civilized manner then maybe he/she/it will be taken seriously.

I am wondering if the person is only disagreeing for the point a disagreeing with X, like it is a personal issue the poster has against him and not really the topic of the CoL gov't at all. If I was the target of this persons stalking behavoir it would be well documented for sure, I love a fair disagreement over a topic but if it gets personal then it is a whole different story.

I think though that X can handle his own battle on that stage.

We do have a variety of visitors that do like to come here and make a lot of blanket statements about me, or other Torchbearers, but without exception I know of, they do not come here and refute, or for that matter, explain, what I/we have uncovered with a little research-- which continues to be blocked by the City FOIA Coordinator violating his own FOIA policies. 

In a way, this blockage might be a good thing, because I am overloaded with incidences about questionable behavior by local pols as it is.  It's getting harder to decide what to show publicly and what to include only with the AG or my lawyer.
