Mason County Schools Will Not Adopt New Title IX Definitions, For Now

Whenever I have had the opportunity to debate the merits of whether or not to change Title IX definitions to include 'gender identity' as a new class that cannot be discriminated against, I always defend keeping the old definition on the basis of two main reasons.  The first is that it's not immediately apparent what duties everyone else is subject to in order to preserve the 'civil rights' of someone who believes they are not the sex that their body and chromosomes say they are.  

The second is that it seems to be a surrender of the liberties of the many to the liberties of a significant few.  One of America's most prominent experts on the concept of liberty, Abraham Lincoln, may have said the same sentiment best:

If we replace 'shepherd', 'sheep' and 'wolf' with 'school employee', 'girl', and 'gender dysphoric boy' respectively, we get the usual conundrum of this century in terms of gendered school locker rooms and bathrooms.  Those who believe strongly in liberty may come down on either side of this current civil war, but those who believe in fairness or justice, should fall on the side of the sheep and their shepherd.  

Which is why most of us should rejoice that Title IX will continue to allow the shepherds to protect the sheep in all Mason County public schools thanks to the efforts of multiple grassroots agencies whose goal is to save the flock.  The most notorious of these are the Moms for Liberty, a group that inspired so much fear among our local library that they used them as a book-burning bugbear at a meeting of their board in order to get more support for their voracious appetite in procuring age-inappropriate titles to litter their children's book sections with.  

With 'liberty' in their group's name, it becomes obvious that they believe more in the liberty of the flock than that of the wolfpack, especially when they were among the plaintiffs in a recent case for injunctive relief against those new Title IX definitions that would have otherwise gone into effect at the beginning of this school year.

Prior to this month's meeting (coming on Monday), Ludington's Superintendent Kyle Corlett shared with me a court document showing the most recent list of schools that have the sons, daughters, and all others in attendance of members of M4L, Young America's Foundation, or Female Athlete's United.  Such associations force the injunction on the schools, even schools that do not find themselves in the majority of states that have opted out of the Biden Administration's proffered definitions.  Most relevant is on page 27 of the document:

As you can see, all levels of the Ludington, MCC, and MCE school districts have a student with at least one parent in the M4L or other group which was awarded injunctive relief, and had that relief sustained by the US Supreme Court, as we reported here.

What this mean is that your area school should not be abiding by the self-conflicting new definitions of Title IX, whose overall effects would ruin the very reason why Title IX was first enacted: to allow women/girls to compete fairly in athletic competition.  But be wary that there are undoubtedly some activists among school personnel that might not observe this injunction.  Teach your children or grandchildren accordingly to be aware of such problems and report it to you when they observe it.

Great news. Thanks for the post. For those of you who still have common sense, let me point out the absurdity of allowing males to claim to be females and then allowing them to participate in sporting activities reserved only for females. Not only participate in sporting activities but in sharing locker rooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and all the other areas meant only for the use of females. Twisted cannot even come close to explaining this insanity. I am very glad that women are finally putting their foot down and drawing a line in the sand in order to stop this nonsense.

Just think, when a woman is the best female athlete in her sport, her natural inclination is to consider competing against men.  At a swimming meet in 1922, female backstroker Sybil Bauer finished the 440-yard event in a time of 6:24.8, which was about four seconds ahead of the then men's world record mark.  In certain sports where the male of the species does not have a genetic and hormone advantage, women can often compete on an even keel.  The equestrian events at the Olympics are not divided by gender.  Danica Patrick and Kelly Kulick have been competitive in men dominated NASCAR and the PBA (bowling).  

But gender dysphoric boys/men go out of their way usually to avoid competing with those who are genetically/biochemically the same as them, so they can use this advantage to excel in a sport they would not otherwise be competitive at (looking at you William "Lia" Thomas).  In March 2022, Thomas became the first openly transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division I national championship in any sport after winning the women's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:33.24.  The NCAA record for men is more than a half minute less:  4:02.31, and in 2022, Lia would have been well out of contention on the men's side.

Females own the sports in which they participate, not the organizers of the various competitions. Whenever any of these organizations allow males, transgender or not to participate all of the females should stand together and refuse to compete. When females do this these organization will be left with empty swimming pools, boxing rings, and pocketbooks. Females standing together against this evil is the only way to rid society of this cancer. When females agree to participate in this deviance, they are essentially supporting it regardless of the fact it will eventually destroy their sport.

Sensible, but here's the crazy thing.  If the Biden/Harris Administration has its way, girls accepting reality and refusing to participate due to their failure in recognizing a boy's gender dysphoria and/or fear of getting injured/assaulted by a boy will be the ones punished for discrimination.  As will any adult who dares to recognize the rights of a lot of girls just to create a new right for a mentally maladjusted boy and set a duty for all of the girls and school employees to buy into the crazy. 

This is dangerous territory for our schools and even Western Civilization and people need to step up and say nay and vote for politicians who would do the same.
