Standards of reasonable and acceptable use of force, esp. in these high profile dangerous positions is not being undermined by me, nor others I would hope here. What is in question is the appropriate time and place for such necessary force, that which can actually kill a person, those younger, elderly, with heart conditions, and many more medical conditions that apply to all too many people out there. A taser, imho, should be used ONLY as a "Last Resort" to the firearm, and "ONLY A LAST RESORT"! I just don't see where that standard was or is being observed in this case, nor in Mason County these days, shameful at worst, and embarrassing at least. Our LE guys/gals are better than this, or at least, should be, jmo. And if they aren't, or well then, let's seek out people that are, so that these continuing episodes don't repeat themselves into the future.

I know what your are saying AQUAMAN. I have had Parkinson's disease for over 15 years. I may not live through an ordeal like McAdam went through. I'm not looking for pity, but it is reality that a  taser can kill people with medical issues.  Law enforcement needs to only use the force necessary.

There have been over 500 deaths due to tasers since 2001, and you see the usual viable claims of racism because about three times the amount of the black population percentage are the victims.  Having adequate training and disciplined, fair department taser policy is essential.
