Mich. teacher suspended over segregation lesson plan

The Monroe School district should be ashamed of its self. I'm not sure what their problem is here, the teacher wants to give a lesson regarding a painful time in our nations history and it seems like the district is afraid of this for some reason. And they wonder why our education system is not much more then a joke anymore.

A southeast Michigan public school teacher has been removed from the classroom while district officials look into whether a lesson plan on African American history and racial segregation laws was inappropriate.

The Monroe News reports that 59-year-old Alan Barron was placed on paid leave nearly two weeks ago.

The newspaper reports that an eighth-grade Monroe Middle School history class was shown a video of how white entertainers once used black face paint to imitate blacks.

The district said it is looking "into a reported situation" in Barron's classroom. Barron has taught 36 years in the district.

Parent Adrienne Aaron says her daughter was not offended and that "history is history."

The Associated Press left a message seeking comment Saturday at a phone number listed for Barron.

This is the type of knee jerk reaction we get when liberals run our schools. How idiotic to suspend a teacher for instructing the class on how blacks were treated back in the 1800's. You can bet he will get a nice parting bonus for his retirement in the form of a bundle of money for settling this about to be lawsuit. If you look at who's running the schools in almost every district, liberals have changed everything from the curriculum to the food kids are allowed to eat thanks to the progressives and the wife of the Prince of Darkness.

This shows why the teaching profession is just getting more off the wagon of common sense, and into the bandwagon of progressive nonsense.  With the help of common core and ever more progressive administrators we will see assembly line teaching become the norm in the public schools.  Great news if you're looking to kill off individualism, and breed tyranny.

That "knee-jerk" reaction is becoming commonplace and is gaining momentum everyday here in the USA. Anyone that thinks "out of the box" is automatically under suspicion and criticism. According to every new idea progressives are forcing down everyone's throats, we citizens, esp. our youth, are all to be programmed, and re-programmed to think and talk alike. What happened to the individual and the thinkers? What happened to our basic human rights? And finally, what is going to happen to a nation of citizens that all become programmed zombies by the government?

I heard something interesting about this year's graduates. Someone said they have gone their entire school years being indoctrinated about global warming, how America is killing the planet and all life on it, how racist America is, how war mongering America has been, how America is anti Muslim, anti women, anti gays, how Capitalism is bad, how we should redistribute our wealth, how the Constitution is unfair and a myriad of negative ideologies that are directed toward us. How are kids today supposed to think straight when their entire educational lives have been nothing but liberal leftist brainwashing.
