This is the video promoting Michigan. Silver lake is at the 25 second mark, Ludington lighthouse is at the 2:27 mark and Country Dairy in New Era is at the 3:12 mark. This turned out pretty good.

I'd like to add another Pure Michigan moment. GO STATE.

The idea isn't too bad, and the song may have some durability, but the thing about this that doesn't make me happy is that Grand Rapids based  Status Creative, the brainchild behind this idea who went to 50 places in Michigan, organized the various shots and ideas for this video, was paid for their creativity and their inconvenience by Pure Michigan, which had their funding recently increased by Rick Snyder to $25 million as stated in this past Torch article:  pure-michigan-or-pure-malarkey

I think our tourism industry should pay for their advertising, not our tax money.  Using tax money in such a way should be voted down by any conscientious legislator at any level. 

Thanks for reminding me about the past topic. I forgot that the taxpayers are footing the bill for Pure Michigan.

Here is a video remake of that song that was considerably cheaper to produce, but it bashes the camping industry, go figure:
