You may be preparing to get ready to look out for June brides, we here at the Ludington Torch are looking for some June bright-ideas.  People are outside getting fresh air and the accompanying fresh ideas that come with it.

If yours are not too fresh so as to get you a slap, remember it and park yourself in front of your computer long enough to pass it to the other perusers of the Torch, and at the end of June our global warming endorsing panel of scientists will decide, in a method too difficult for common laypersons to understand, who wins.  It can be short, it can be long, but it should appeal to a wide variety of folks and be your own invention.  Plagiarists will receive an unflattering picture of Joe Biden delivered to their page.

The victor's (or victorette's) quote will be featured for the month of July at the Torch, complete with their name or pseudonym ascribed.  Who knows what fame and fortune may follow?

This thread starts about a week before June, so as to allow some extra time for those who feel we rush them too much.  Besides I thought up a "quote" earlier today to prime the pump, so to speak regarding Libertarians.

"Libertarian:  One who needs not own any opinion or firearm in order to outspokenly shoot down criticisms of the First or Second Amendment."  -- XLFD

Oh, yeah, I got this thing won....

I know I'm a little late but I couldn't think of anything until last weekend when I was surfing the radio channels looking for a talk show. I heard a variety of music and it hit me that much of the music is connected. Thus my quote:

"Rap is Country music played backwards"  Willy

Not bad, simple and sensible.  But since the creative bug didn't fly in June, let's push this contest for the rest of the summer and decide the best on Labor Day.  Genius cannot be restricted to one month, but let's artificially say that it can for one season.
