I've heard the question asked here and there on the news channels the last few days so I thought I'd ask the question here.

Myself, I think any award like this should be given for what you have done... not for what you might do. Needless to say, I don't know if the Nobel people have gotten exactly what they have hoped for in regards to the 'peace' president as he's now entered the USA into another conflict, albeit in a limited role. Upping the troops on the ground in Afghanistan probably wasn't what was hoped for either. In the end, if you want to reward someone for what they have done, fine, I can understand that, but to reward someone on hopes is probably not the right way to do things.

Of course if saw Powerball wants to give me a jackpot on the potential that I will eventually have the right numbers to win it, I might change my mind :-)

Does everyone have such a short memory that they forget that this is one and the same person who ran for president in 2008 on the platform totally against the Bush Doctrine of a pre-emptive, unilateral war?  Or how about the "I'll talk with anyone." statement on foreign policy.

He sure looks more like a "bomb 'em back into the stone age" guy to me.  Nix the Nobel; give it to some other leftist who doesn't prolong wars, order death from the skies by drones and bombers, and actually promotes peace.  Dennis Kookiness, perhaps?

I don't know why anyone is seriously bringing this up at all, what's done is done. Perhaps the Peace Prize people will rethink now before awarding the Nobel in haste from now on...........lol. As for Drones, I'd be a lot more happy to see them used as often as possible, without putting our boys on the line of fire. What are we saving them for then?

As for  a nobel prize, I feel he should be awarded some sort of a prize for setting  race relation back at least 50 years. Never have I seen any-one who has caused so much disruption between races , as this man and his people have. Not just colored, but right, left, religous, non-religous, legals, illegals, you name it.

Anyone who can cause so much disruption in American life, surely deserves something.

Have you any specific awards in mind? Make them up if you have to. I'm sure we have some creative minds out there.

Sorry you feel that way Rommy. Btw, if you were truly informed you would know more about Real POWER: it's something you TAKE, not get given to you on a silver platter via an election. Given the amount of "Real POWER the Office of the President" can have, at his disposal, and use for good, I don't see where Obama has used it efficiently, prudently, nor with the leadership to stand behind it. Pretty much spent it on empty endeavors, and fancy talk, not anything concrete and lasting.

Rom Titty

You are demonstrating the point your trying to make about making decisions about a person because of race. You support Obama because he is black, not because he is a good politician. You won't step back and look at him as a person. If you looked at what he has done and what his philosophy is in an objective manner you might not be so impressed with the man. Your the one with Jim Crow goggles only yours are shaded.

Regarding the topic. Even though he did not earn or deserve it,  he should not return the Nobel Prize. The Prize was a gift. The decision to award the prize to Obama only weakened it's credibility and it's importance and showed the World how political the Prize has become. It's not Obama's fault that foolish people are now in charge of awarding the Nobel Peace Prize.

I agree RJE, I don't think he should give the thing back..its sort of like when your playing cards, there's a rule (at least with who I usually play) that once a card is laid down that's it, you can't pick it back up. The Nobel has basically become a politically correct prize, not so much based on anything other then a good warm fuzzy feeling. The prize is a sham and only a shadow of its former self thanks to some of the other selections over the years like Arafat being given one.

I want to hit on what I think Easymoney was trying to get back too. I think was Easy was trying to say is that by coming in and not being the "hope and change", everything is going to be great president that he said he was going to be, thanks to Obama, you probably wont see another minority president for awhile. Had Obama actually done what he said he wasn't going to do a few years before he started running, he might be better positioned to be a great president down the road. But no, he wanted to try now and campaigned and made it in now. Now we all find out that he definitely was not ready for the job, which some of us knew before he got elected, he simply didn't have enough experience for the job. I said it then and I'll say it now, of all the candidates that were running on election day, Palin was the only one with any real qualifications... not that I would of voted for her. She was the only run that's really ran anything, the only one that had any executive experience.

All elections though are prime examples to see how big of liars most of the politicians are. I can remember Joe Biden saying how Obama was NOT ready to be president but gee, once Obama made Biden his VP, Well golly, Obama is the greatest thing since creamed beets.

Rom,

If you were to read the statement correctly, you'd see I didn't mention His color at all. I was referring to using color as an advantage for an agenda. I could care less if he were green.

Just for your own imformation Rom, there are two possable canidates this year, both of whom I would vote for. Allen West or Herman Cain. Now, if you do your homework, you"ll find they both are black.

Neither is using race as a playing card, and they both have more experience than O'bama will ever have..

I to am interested in Herman Cain... he seems to be a decent person and well respected... he's definitely worth a look as far as the republicans go. Would assume that there will not be a democratic candidate at this point.. wonder who the libertarians will support? Or the tea party for that matter?
Dave, you may want to give a good look at allen west. He's military and doesn't back down from anyone, and has no use for political correctness, in his opion, thats what put us in the mess were in to start with
