A brilliant essay from William H. Hogenson III and (daughter) Anna Appledorn found in the City of Ludington Daily News (COLDNews) 8-29-2012 about some of the ways we should look at term limits.

Along with another very positive essay on the Reed family; they have been getting a lot of real good press from the COLDNews this year and a lot of awards.  Anyone wonder why that is?

Very good article on term limits. I'm surprised LDN printed it. As far as the Reeds go, I think they are being used by the Henderson crowd to promote extending term limits and like most of the citizens they are being boondoggled by local politicians and LDN. After reconsidering my assertion that at least 3 terms is acceptable I must change my opinion that term limits should be reduced to no more than 2 after seeing the disgusting display put on by Henderson when X tried to explain his side of the FOIA controversy. Henderson continually interrupted X. Henderson is no friend to freedom loving, Constitutional loving citizens. Ludington needs a change in leadership all the way down the line.

Like I said, the best articles you will find in the COLDNews are not written by anyone on the masthead.

Wouldn't it be grand if the term limit proposal went down, and it was immediately followed by a real grassroots initiative to reduce the mayor and city council to two term limits each?  It might even be grand if the proposal did pass, as then the second initiative (if passed in early 2013) would negate the former.

Mayor Henderson's outbursts definitely were not part of Robert's rules of order or any recognizable decorum permitted by the City Council in the past, which I strive to live by, on fear of being thrown out of the meeting or worse, have the Letter of Trespass re-placed on me (maybe retroactively and so I would be hauled away on a misdemeanor if I talked out of turn?  When you break one sane rule, you can break any.)

His side wants the public to think I'm just harassing them, but a real FOIA in progress at the same time Ms. Holman had her stack out, was somehow off limits for discussion in defending my denied FOIA for public records which Kaye inferred were already FOIA-prepared?

Seriously, your honor?   Can I yell from the peanut gallery for you to stay on task when you are bloviating about some of your borrowed ideas and shameless testimonials?
