If your as old as X and I, we know exactly how Jr felt. We probably had a similar experience. It all started with a phone  (70's or 80's), a friend was on the other end of the line. He tells you he "has something to show you". "What is it you ask?" Of course they can't tell you over the phone.  "Come over tomorrow night and I'll show you." Moderately curious and cautiously optimistic, you arrive at the friends house.

He ushers you into the living room and you see a guy standing in front of a dry eraser board in a three piece suit. He starts talking about dreams and goals while he is drawing circles on that board. You finally realize your at an Amway meeting. Perplexed and glossy eyed you walk back to your car wondering what did I do to deserve this?

For our readers who aren't up on the current news:  Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer in July 2016 after hearing she had damaging information about Hillary Clinton, the Democratic opponent of now-President Trump.   “The meeting provided no meaningful information and turned out to be not about what was represented,” Trump Jr. told the Senate Judiciary Committee, according to recently released transcripts. He contended that the meeting with lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was actually regarding a Russian adoption prohibition.

This is a common sales tactic and yes, I got played into one of these Amway meetings while growing up.

I remember helping with laundry and digging up powdered laundry soap from a Amway box that seemed to be more then a foot wide and long and 3ft high.

If this would of been a different political party the witch hunt would of been much more, or completely, about the Russians.
